James Felton-Taylor from Australian Sustainable Timbers talks about the challenges and rewards of running an award-winning, sustainably-managed native regrowth forest in Australia. The talk will also feature some of the architectural projects AST timber has been used on, in Australia and internationally.

Architect Brian Suters has spent more than 50 years as an architect living and working in Newcastle. In theory retired for the past 10 years, he has never been so busy, and will be showing us some of his recent houses and pro bono community projects.

‘Life as a labyrinth’ – Recent architecture graduate Poppy Bevan tells the story that begins with her Eric Parker fellowship trip to France, researching and drawing the works of Corbusier. She speaks of how this time has influenced her Masters studies, and spurred on the running of her own design practice here in Newcastle.
